Garba is a man of the world with over 40 years of working with storytelling across cultures. In 1994 Garba founded his own NGO in Copenhagen, which is known today as Crossing Borders, where he made it his everyday philosophy to use his voice and dialogue to make the world a more connected place. Garba will teach participants how to tell their own story in a special workshop at Union in Nørrebro.
In this workshop Garba will start by telling his own amazing story, then he will open up the storytelling to the participants. Through engaging exercises and techniques rooted in his lifetime of experience, Garba will guide you in unlocking your unique narrative using words, images, and other creative methods. Along the way participants will be able to enjoy food and wine together, connected on a cosy Thursday evening surrounded by others ready to share their own stories.

Garba is a man of many stories. When asked where he is from his answer is most often 'Globalistan' - as he has been living all of his life around the globe. The real answer, is Garba is from Mauritania in Africa, but left when he was very young in search of more stories, people, and community. Garba founded his own NGO called Crossing Borders in 1999 and has made it his mission to build 'global citizens' bridging cultures, generations, customs, and of course, always crossing borders. Human tip: Garba loves telling stories, he probably has a story for every topic you could think of. Test him!
