What you will do

Starting in 2025, "Open House" is an opportunity to meet Jan Utzon and engage in meaningful discussions on creativity, and the role of architecture in shaping our lives.

This 2 hour experience will take place in the home his father, Jørn Utzon, designed for their family in 1950. It's an opportunity to experience his stories and insights of his family's rich design legacy.

This experience is designed for conversation and inspiration, participants will have the chance to have access to his house, his art, and life story. This evening will focus on the buildings that inspire us, but this isn't a lecture, it's about creating common ground for meaningful connections. No prior architectural knowledge is required.

Program:

- Go through his house and art.

- Bring a photo or sketch of a building that inspires you from your local surroundings.

- Share a glass of wine and meaningful conversation with Jan Utzon and maximum 10 others.

Sign up by December 15th for the first session. Only ten spots available.

More on Price: 400 kr. covers the costs of hosting and wine. The purpose is to develop the SILVERS concept and bring something new to society. This price will be for the first session.

About

Jan Utzon

Jan is a well recognized Danish architect, son of Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jørn Utzon , born in Stockholm and raised in Hellebæk. He lived and worked on prestigious projects around the world like the Sydney Opera House (a major project built by his father) and designed more than 50 buildings in Angola, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa and Congo. He studied at the School of Architecture in Sydney (1964-66) and at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen (1966 - 1970). Nowadays, true to his fresh and curious spirit, Jan spends most of his time doing art, working on special projects and is well connected to his family.
